Live your best life, sober and happy.

Stop Procrastinating

Today, we are going to talk about something that plagues us all. I know you are struggling with it, and I definitely struggle with it- and it holds you back from getting a lot of things you want in life- sobriety included.

We are going to dig in to procrastination. Why do we do it, what are the consequences of it, and how can we STOP!

Some of you may really be struggling with this right now, too because of the coronavirus and quarantine- home schooling, working from home, feeling stuck, or maybe you are one of the millions of people who will have to find a new job and that can bring up it’s own set of circumstances and some fear and procrastination. But, as we start to get back on our feet, slowly but surely, you don’t want to get stuck in this procrastination quick sand. You want to be on top of your game and getting things done, so you can rebound as quickly as possible. That’s what you want.

We are going to dig in to procrastination. Why do we do...

Jen Elizabeth Talks Cults, Trauma & Addiction

Like the warrior she is, she survived one day at a time feeling like she was just hanging on by a thread. Sobriety doesn’t come with ‘knowing’ what to do. Sobriety comes with DOING what you know to do.

Jen Elizabeth shares her story of the worst of worst. Homelessness, cults, trauma, eating out of dumpsters. And, while in jail, she had her light bulb moment that brought it all together.

Now, 9 years sober, a mom, a homeowner, author, and a true survivor- when you think you’ve got it bad, think again.

When you think sobriety is hard, you don’t know what to do minute to minute, your brain is working overtime reminding you of all the crazy, effed up, stupid sh*t you did in your addiction and you want to run away and numb it all in the bottom of a bottle- stop. And listen.

Starting Sobriety From Day One, This Is What I'd Do

What would I do if I was starting sobriety from day one and desperately needed to feel better fast.

That’s going to be the topic today, and we are going to get there in a few minutes, but first- I have a shout out.  I was walking with my girlfriend the other day- and when I say walk I mean an exercise walk, 5 miles, huge inclines- not a leisurely walk.  So we were walking and talking through some business stuff.

If you guys have seen any of my FB live videos recently you know I have been a bit grumpy. Coronavirus dragging me down, a lot of business stuff going on, employees not working out, trying to figure out next steps- and it’s all even more overwhelming now because of the quarantine- we are not working under a normal set of circumstances.

And I’ve been a grumpy jerk. Finally, I started to come out of it, I got clarity on a few things, I got into action and figured out solutions to some of my struggles and I started to look back over the journey of...

It's Not Your Drinking, It's Your Thinking

I know you are bored and stir crazy and ready for the world to go back to normal, and I am working on giving you a great community to be a part of with like-minded people and support to continue working on sobriety and not lose your mind in the process.

Today, I want to send out a huge thank you to one of our listeners, and she has been a part of the private Facebook community for a long time and she is a lovely person and a joy to get to know.

This is someone who truly takes advantage of the tools and uses them to better herself but also she shares the resources with her recovery community and people who are struggling and need more support.

I’ve gotten to meet her in a few of our online recovery meetings that we are doing in the FB group, she is an active member of FB group posting in there, supporting others, always being positive. And she joined the Inner Circle membership as soon as it was available!

I want to read a comment from her real quick that she left in the FB...

My Letter To Relapse

Dear Relapse,

I am not afraid to honestly tell you, I hate you.  I do not hate many things in my life and it is not a word or emotion that I use recklessly, but for you it is appropriate.

You are a predator.  You lurk around preying on the slightest moment of vulnerability in myself and the people I love.  You are dirty and under-handed, and you should be ashamed.

I pray each day that I never meet you myself.  And I pray even more for the sake of those that do meet you.  I pray for their safe return to a safe place.  I pray for them to have the strength to come back, the strength to reach out, and the strength to be loved back into one piece.

Tonight I pray for my friend who met you yesterday.  I am sending him every ounce of fight I have, hoping that he will have the power to take his sobriety back, and hoping that he sees you have nothing to offer him.   Your promises are of a lifetime of pain and discomfort, insecurity and hopelessness....

5 Truths You Must Accept to Battle Addiction

Hey everybody, welcome to episode #89 of the Addiction Unlimited Podcast- I’m your Coach, Angela Pugh. Helping you get that clean and sober life you want.

Thank you for hanging out with me today, I hope your new year has been awesome so far. I’ve been thinking about you guys and wondering how many of you took some time to write down your new year intentions.

Most of my sessions in December and January are exactly this.  I work with a lot of people who do not have addiction struggles, too, and those clients have definitely been lining up to get their intentions on paper and get a process in place to make sure they can achieve everything they want this year.

And, many of my clients with addiction have been doing the same. And some of those who are really early in sobriety we’ve been working on focusing on those micro-decisions and small victories, and also plugging in some non-drinking rewards in life. And all of that stuff is just part of my process of...

Staying Sober During the Holidays & Social Situations

Hey everybody! Welcome to episode 83 of the Addiction Unlimited Podcast, I’m your coach Angela Pugh- thank you for hanging out with me today and listening to the pod, I’m really happy to be spending some time with you and getting my schedule back to normal.

Last week, I was a speaker at Global Entrepreneurship Week, and not only did I do my own speaking gig there, but I was also asked to be on a panel talking about being a sober entrepreneur and how being sober has changed my business, or me as a business person. It was pretty amazing, honestly.

You know I do a lot of public speaking, usually about personal development and empowerment, creating change and all of those things I love, but as my businesses grow, I’m getting asked to do more things in the entrepreneurship arena and digital marketing and social media. I love all that stuff too, so it’s been really fun.

But I spent a lot of time last week at the Global Entrepreneurship conference so I spent...

Are You Investing In Your Recovery?

Hello friends! Welcome to episode 81 of the Addiction Unlimited Podcast, I’m your Coach Angela Pugh and I’m so glad we are spending time together today-

I have a super duper topic for you today- one of the most valuable lessons I have learned over the years, and of course I wasted about a million years being stubborn and not following direction because I was so immature and caught up in being obstinate that I didn’t want to do anything people told me.

But this has paid off enormously, once I was finally ready to listen- and it has increased the quality of my life, my emotional maturity, and for sure my business.

But first, let’s do a shoutout! This comment was in the FB group, and since the group is totally private, I will not say the person’s name-  I don’t mind saying names of listeners and clients who post in public forums, but I will always protect the privacy of our FB members because it is private!

She says- I just want to give a shout...

Is Relapse A Choice?

Hello friends, welcome to episode #79 of the Addiction Unlimited Podcast, I’m your Coach, Angela Pugh. Here to help you get that sober life you want! Thank you for hanging out with me today and listening to the pod- I’ve got an awesome topic today with a little bit of a truth bomb- that relapse is a choice.

That’s right, you heard me, my friends, it’s a choice. And we are going to dig into that in depth in just a moment. But first- let’s do a quick shoutout-

This shout out is going to be to my Facebook group members who are stepping up and getting raw and honest and posting in their first 1-2 days of sobriety. I LOVE YOU GUYS!

The bravery it takes to show yourself, to share your struggle- and it’s so smart of you to reach out and let people know exactly where you are! Those are the actions that show me you are serious about not drinking, you want help and support and guidance, you aren’t hiding in the shadows letting addiction run the show-...

What's Inside Your Hula Hoop?

Hello my friends!  Welcome to episode 77 of the Addiction Unlimited Podcast, I’m your coach, Angela Pugh. And thank you for hanging out with me today, spending some quality time together, listening to the pod.

Today, I’m going to talk about your hula hoop. To some of you, I may sound like a crazy person, and some of you may be familiar with the saying, “you can only control what fits inside your hula hoop”. The only things that fit inside my hula hoop are me and Henry, my dog. Or, my boss, as I call him. So the only things I really have any power over, are me and Henry. And we are going to get further into this and break it down in a few minutes…. But first!

I want to shout out to all of you who are getting the Recovery Starter Kit! I’m so excited for you to have your hands on this and to hear all the great feedback on how helpful it is! I want you to imagine what it would feel like to have a daily plan in place- support, guidance, and the...
