Coach (Contracted Position)

Position Overview

Our clients' success is directly tied to an ability to provide proven strategies in our private member community, the Sober Society. This contract coaching position will deliver the highest level of coaching to these members. 

Your #1 job will be to guide and hold accountable our members as they begin their sober journey in our entry-level membership Sober Society.

Our ideal Coach is experienced and well-versed in recovery best practices and understands how to manage the mindset challenges their clients may experience. To say you’re committed to the craft would be an understatement.

This contracted position reports directly to the leadership team, while also working closely with content creators and other key members of Team Angela. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Contract Coaches will start with limited hours per week facilitating online meetings and supporting our members. The opportunities for growth in this position are abundant.

Your wheelhouse will also include creating topic plans for meetings, generating ideas for companion content (worksheets, cheatsheets, etc.), and staying on top of all project deadlines. 

You’ll be responsible for… 

  • Establishing genuine rapport with our members, finding out where they are stuck and what they need to do next to move forward in a way that feels exciting to them
  • Enthusiastically using your uplifting, encouraging outlook and our systems, and processes to support our members in moving the needle in their recovery, getting phenomenal results, and successfully navigating the stress that comes along with building a sober life
  • Managing your coaching calendar with flexibility
  • Creating customized communications with members through our member portal and private Facebook community 
  • Maintaining excellent member communication while also maintaining healthy and necessary boundaries
  • Providing feedback and suggestions to Team Angela so we can improve the coaching program
  • Being open to change and being flexible
  • Attending team meetings ready to learn and contribute
  • Adhering to our Coach Guidelines
  • Prioritizing projects based on established delivery dates
  • Ongoing commitment to your professional development and learning and growth
  • Representing the Angela Pugh brand with integrity.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

The ideal candidate possesses the following strengths and skills:

  • Experience coaching people with substance and/or process addictions
  • Completion of a certified coach training program preferred 
  • Knowledge of recovery and coping strategies and a willingness to learn our approach and systems in supporting members as they reach their next level
  • Juggling topic plans and outlines while providing accountability and staying organized is no problem for you — you meet deadlines and keep promises
  • Ability to be flexible, be coachable yourself, and be open to feedback and adapting your approach to the way we teach and work with our members
  • A willingness and ability to master technology such as Kajabi, Google Drive, Google Docs, Zoom, and Trello
  • Outstanding internal communication skills (both written and verbal) — you love working with a team and your communication style is clear, kind, and concise 
  • Hold space for members with diverse addiction & recovery experiences
  • Knowledge about personal development/science-based strategies is a plus!
